Kevin Frandsen is leaving the Phillies broadcast for the Nationals broadcast
Philadelphia Phillies player-turned-analyst Kevin Frandsen is headed across the division to the Washington Nationals.
The former player has been working in radio since retiring in 2016 and joined the Phillies Radio Network in 2018. By 2019, his role was expanded to include calling games with Phillies play-by-play announcer Scott Franzke.
Frandsen spent nine seasons in the majors, including 2012-13 with the Phillies, and 2014 with the Nationals. So, once again, he’s leaving Philly for DC, where he will provide color commentary for the Nats in 2022.
After the news broke last week, Frandsen put out several heartfelt tweets to say his goodbyes and hellos, and the Phillies sent him a sweet reply.
We’re not crying, you’re crying.
Who will replace Kevin Frandsen on Phillies radio?
With Frandsen heading to DC, fans are wondering who will succeed him. Fellow former Phillie Shane Victorino fueled speculation that he’s the heir apparent when he tweeted this last week:

With his positive energy and love of the game, Victorino would be a great voice for Phillies games. After all, he loves the team so much that he signed a one-day contract to retire with them in 2018.
Of all the former Phillies, whose voices do you want to hear next?
