Several MLB teams are taking side in the Twitter feud between Elmo and Rocco the rock

Did you ever think you’d see the day when MLB teams were consumed with Sesame Street drama between Elmo and a literal rock?

Welcome to the MLB lockout.

Or rather, the MLB rockout, because team accounts and the rest of Twitter have united in support of Elmo against Rocco, who is literally a rock. He does not have a mouth.

This clip of Elmo versus Zoey’s friend/pet rock Rocco went viral on Twitter earlier this week, because it’s absolutely ridiculous that Elmo should have to give a cookie to a rock with no mouth.

Elmo then attempted to quell the hysteria, but no one is buying that Elmo and Zoe are getting along while she’s still friends with Rocco.

Especially since Elmo continues to throw shade at Rocco, as he should.

Here’s where the MLB teams enter the chat. The Toronto Blue Jays declared themselves to be Team Elmo, as did the Los Angeles Angels and Philadelphia Phillies.

In a shocking turn of events, the Kansas City Royals seem to be Team Rocco.

However, it’s no surprise which way the Colorado Rockies lean.

Hopefully, the lockout ends soon, but we’re totally fine watching this rockout go on forever.
