Philadelphia Phillies fans have a lot to be thankful for

This time of year is about reflecting on our blessings and focusing on gratitude.

Despite missing out on the postseason (again), the Philadelphia Phillies made a lot of positive progress this year. They posted a winning record for the first time in a decade, had some of the best players in baseball, and have already made a lot of

There’s a lot to be thankful for, Phillies fans. Here are 10 things:

1. Bryce Harper

Duh? Bryce Harper made Philadelphia proud in 2021, winning NL MVP, a Silver Slugger, and the prestigious Hank Aaron Award. He led all MLB batters in doubles, slugging, OPS, and OPS+, and finished the season with a .300+ average for the first time since 2017. Hard to believe he wasn’t an All-Star this year.

Harper more than lived up to his mega-contract this year, which is the richest in franchise history. If the Phillies really want to show their gratitude, they can shower him with thanks by building a better team around him for 2022.
