Phillies: This is the only thing Archie Bradley wants for his birthday
Archie Bradley’s birthday wish is for Phillies fans to show up and support the team against the Dodgers this week
Philadelphia Phillies fans have been showing up to cheer on their team as they make a serious push for their first division title since 2011.
The atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park over the weekend series against the New York Mets was absolutely electric, especially for Sunday’s game. The Phillies officially retired Roy Halladay’s number, and Zack Wheeler threw a magnificent complete-game shutout against his former team.
It’s been a great week, and one pitcher really wants to make sure the good vibes continue.
Tuesday is reliever Archie Bradley‘s birthday, and he took to Twitter to make a request of Phillies fans:
Bradley also poked fun at his teammate Bryce Harper, asking him for some signed merch. Unfortunately for fans, Harper doesn’t use his Twitter very often; he hasn’t tweeted, retweeted, or replied to a tweet since April 1. Maybe Bradley can ask him in the dugout instead.

This is Bradley’s seventh year in the big leagues, but his first season with the Phillies. He’s already endeared himself to fans with his fun social media presence, though.
And on the mound, Bradley has a 2.73 ERA over 35 relief appearances, he’s has closed eight games, and earned two saves. The Phils are 24-11 in games in which Bradley pitches.
In a Phillies bullpen that has struggled to get it done – they still lead MLB with 25 blown saves – Bradley has been one of the least worrisome pitchers. For this bullpen, that’s high praise.
Hopefully, Phillies fans show up and get loud tonight.
