The Phillies have been in first place for 30 consecutive games going into San Diego

A lot has changed for the Phillies since they played their last game on Wednesday. Justin Bour was acquired from the Marlins, J.P Crawford was activated from the disabled list, and Rhys Hoskins got engaged on a beach.

Additionally, the Phillies designated former top pitching prospect Jake Thompson for assignment.

Philadelphia took two of three from the Padres when they played in Philadelphia last month and outscored San Diego 18-15 after both teams scored double-digit runs in the series.
