The Phillies and Nationals meet for the first time in nearly two months

Perhaps the most important series of the season has arrived for the Phillies as they travel to Washington to face the Nationals for the second time this season.

Philadelphia and Washington are in a dead-heat for second in the National League East as the midpoint of the season approaches. Washington holds a half-game lead over the Phillies at three games behind Atlanta, while the Phillies are three and a half behind the first place Braves.

Washington took two of three games in early May, including a walk-off Wilmer Difo hit off Hector Neris, who allowed two runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Both teams already look very different with prospects arriving and dominating their opponents on both sides.

Here are three Nationals to watch for in the three game weekend series.
