One of the best stories during his rookie year before suffering a torn thumb ligament, Trevor Story back raking for the Rockies with a team-high 14 home runs. In 65 games he’s hitting .259 with 31 extra-base hits and 47 RBI, on pace to set a career-high.

Story is having a fantastic month of June hitting .361 with three home runs in nine games coming into the three-game series. He’s reached base safely in 22 of his last 23 games and is on a five-game hitting streak.

In eight games against Philadelphia Story is hitting .286 with three home runs with nine strikeouts. That’s where the Phillies can attack him is with the strikeouts after he led the National League with 191 last season.

Already this year Story has struck out 75 times, second-most in the National League behind Paul Goldschmidt and ninth in baseball. He’s swinging at 2.1% fewer pitches outside the strikezone according to FanGraphs, and his swinging strike percentage is down 3.25 from last year.
