In light of the selection of third baseman Alec Bohm this year, how have the Phillies done drafting infielders in the past?

The Phillies selected Wichita State third baseman Alec Bohm with the third overall pick in the 2018 MLB draft. The team hopes Bohm can be a fixture in the Phillies lineup for years to come, and help lead the organization to a World Series championship.

In his Junior season at Wichita State, The 6 foot 5, 225-pound slugger hit .339 with 14 doubles, 16 home runs, and 55 RBI, while striking out just 28 times in 224 at-bats.

While only time will tell how Bohm will fare in his professional career, let’s take a look back at how the Phillies organization has done with drafting infielders in the past 20 years.
