A short road trip begins the Phillies two-game series in Baltimore
Light travel, crab cakes, and the designated hitter? Sounds like the Phillies are in Baltimore for a two-game series against the worst team in baseball. Unlike Philadelphia, Baltimore has held off on beginning a rebuild that would trade stars such as Manny Machado and Adam Jones.
With 13 wins the Orioles have the second-fewest wins in baseball, three games ahead of the White Sox. Philadelphia, meanwhile, is on the cusp of leading the National League East just a game-and-a-half behind Atlanta and half a game ahead of Washington.
Here’s all the information needed for Tuesday’s game between Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Phillies hitters have had mixed success against Cashner, but the bats to watch tonight are Franco and Herrera, who have a batting average of .442 against the veteran righty. Herrera has two home runs against Cashner in 14 plate appearances, the last coming in 2016 against Miami.

Only one of the Orioles hitters, Jace Peterson, has ever face Pivetta in his short major league career. That one at-bat as a member of the Atlanta Braves resulted in a base hit for Peterson.
