Phillies baseball and Green Day don’t usually go hand in hand, but this season they’re one in the same

No longer is Green Day the band you danced to at the middle school formal, it now perfectly lays out how many Phillies fans feel about this season.

Wake me up when September ends will probably be the title of the Phillies yearbook thanks to the horrendous hitting and a bullpen that can’t get an out.

Maybe it’s just me, but read the lyrics and tell me this isn’t a song about Phillies baseball.

Next: Phillies prospect Scott Kingery closing in on MLB

The bells, the rain, the pain, the memories from seven years ago. That sounds like Phillies baseball to me.

Until the prospects arrive and show that they’re the future, Phillies baseball is at its lowest of lows. Wake me up when this is over.
