After three more wins this week, Clearwater still has the most wins of any team in the system. However, they had a couple of games get away from them this week.
Clearwater Threshers
Week Record (3-4)
Year Record to Date (19-11)
They suffered a painful 2-0 loss early in the week to Jupiter, in which they struck out a total of 11 times as a team. However, Damek Tomscha continued his torrid start as he added three more multi-hit games. The week lifted the 25-year-old third baseman to a .346/.417/.514 start to his Single-A season.

The offensive highlight of the week came when every position player had a hit on Monday night for the Threshers. Deivi Grullon hit a three-run bomb to lead his team to a 7-3 victory.
The pitching had some ups and downs this week as well. In that same 7-3 win, Seranthony Dominguez threw six innings of two-run baseball, while striking out seven. The 22-year-old Dominguez is now 3-0 with a 1.44 ERA in five starts.
Alberto Tirado could not get out of the first inning in his start on Friday (0.2 innings, eight earned runs, seven hits, and a walk). Tirado is the only piece left from the Ben Revere trade, and may soon find himself working solely out of the bullpen.
On the other hand, Franklyn Kilome had another strong outing on Wednesday. Although he allowed two homers, he struck out six batters over five innings and did not allow a walk. Austin Davis would shut the door for three innings after, walking one and striking out four. Davis would add another three innings on Saturday but would allow a run, lifting his ERA to 1.35 for the season.
