NFL Draft fever has hit Philadelphia and the Phillies are the latest to catch it

Visiting WIP on Thursday with a week until the NFL Draft Phillies owner John Middleton announced the Phillies will take advantage of next weeks festivities on the Parkway.

During the Philles homestand leading up to the draft next week, select sections of Citizens Bank Park will have $14 tickets, in honor of the Eagles holding the 14th overall pick.

Additionally, fans wearing Eagles gear at the stadium can receive special discounts at the ballpark.

The offer will be available during the Marlins three-game series starting on Tuesday and running through Thursday afternoon.

Middleton wanted to implement a surcharge to Cowboys, Patriots, Giants, and Redskins fans, but it sounds like the NFL shut down that idea fairly quickly.

So for those who were unable to get a ticket into the NFL Draft and run out of things to do at the free NFL experience on the Ben Franklin Parkway, you can enjoy the Phillies while wearing midnight/kelly green.

It’s a great idea out of the marketing department, and Middleton’s presence in this city has certainly taken over.

Now we can only hope the Eagles trade up to the first overall pick so we can get $1 tickets.
