The Phillies were swept by the Mets at home this week, in “embarrassing” fashion at one point. Here are five things we learned from the series.

The Phillies just can’t seem to find their way against the Mets. Since 2015, the Mets have dominated the matchup, posting a 29-12 record against Philadelphia.

After starting the season 3-3 with a series win over their NL East rival, the Washington Nationals, Phils fans a bit of optimism about the season. Then the Mets came to town and showed why Philadelphia is still at least one or two years away from being playoff contenders.

Even with three straight losses, there are still a few things we learned about the Phillies from this series.
