Phillies Week in Review: Phillies Fail to Notch a Win

David Hernandez, Colton Murray, and Hector Neris all had a strong week out of the pen. The trio combined for seven scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.

Jake Thompson had a fantastic week after some early major league struggles. The young righty gave up just three earned runs in 14 innings pitched with nine strikeouts.

Vincent Velasquez also had a nice week prior to being shutdown for the season. Velasquez gave up just two earned runs over seven innings with eight strikeouts in the team’s loss to Atlanta on Saturday.

Finally, starter Adam Morgan pitched well this week. Morgan gave up just two earned runs in 6.2 innings pitched with five strikeouts against the Nats.
