Struggling Bats
Taylor Featherston continued to struggle, hitting just .167 with double. After failing to get going at the dish, Featherston was optioned back to Triple A Lehigh Valley after Sunday’s loss to the Cards.
Aaron Altherr had a rough week at the plate, hitting just .208 with 10 strikeouts in 28 official at-bats.
Jimmy Paredes struggled coming off a decent week. The outfielder hit just .222 with three strikeouts in nine at-bats.
Veteran catcher Carlos Ruiz had a paltry week at the dish, going .231 with two walks.
