SURGING BATS

Tommy Joseph bounced back nicely after struggling over the last few weeks. The young first baseman hit .571 with three homers and five RBI. He finished a triple shy of the cycle in Saturday’s 8-3 loss against the Rockies.

Andres Blanco also bounced back nicely after struggling at the plate last week. Blanco batted .500 with a double in four games played.

Freddy Galvis broke out of his slump in a big way, hitting .417 with a homer and four RBI.

Maikel Franco had another fantastic week at the plate, hitting .400 with three homers (including this bomb against the Rockies) and five RBI.

Cesar Hernandez continues to hit well, batting .348 for the week with two stolen bases.
