Former first round pick Shane Watson struggled again in his second game in Clearwater, allowing seven runs on seven hits and six walks in three and a third innings.

Second baseman Scott Kingery had his first tough game in recent memory, going 0-5 with a strikeout. The top of the Clearwater lineup struggled throughout, as the top four hitters combined to hit 1-17 with six strikeouts.

Malquin Canelo provided the majority of the offense with a 3-4 game with two RBIs, with the second one coming in the bottom of the ninth.
