Lakewood suffered its’ 28th loss of the season after being shutout and held to just four hits, only one of which was for extra bases.

Starter Tyler Gilbert didn’t fare well either as he was handed his fifth loss of the season. The young lefty allowed three runs on eight hits in his six innings of work.

Catching prospect, and number 29 on the Phillies minor league rankings, Deivi Grullon went 1-3 and saw his batting average dip to .242.

Josh Tobias’s double was the only extra base hit of the game for Lakewood.

Outfielder Jose Pujols went 0-4 with two strikeouts.

Right hander Luke Leftwich (3-2) will start his eighth game of the year Wednesday against the Suns.
