Philadelphia Phillies react to Oscar Taveras’ death

The news of St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Oscar Taveras and his girlfriend dying in a car crash on Sunday has saddened the baseball world. The Philadelphia Phillies organization is no exception and many members of the organization took to social media to share their thoughts.
My deepest condolences go out to Oscar Taveras and his family it's never easy losing a part of the baseball family.

Taveras, just 22 at his passing, made his MLB debut on May 31st. The Phillies got a taste of what was expected to come of such a talented young player as he went 5-for-11 in three games against them.
The car accident occurred in Taveras’ home country, the Dominican Republic.
