Charlie Manuel is still giving advice

If former Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel’s tweets are any indication, he may never stop giving baseball advice.
Make sure to cover the plate. Choke up for better feel for the barrel. Widen out your stance for a better base. Concede the power and scrap!

Hitting with two strikes means a change of approach both physically and mentally. Must be able to cut the swing down and contact is priority

Learn to pick up spin out of the hand. Practice on variety of BBs and how/when/where they break. The reps will bring comfort and consistency

For parents, coaches, and young hitters- devote time to learning to hit breaking balls. Plays a big role in being comfortable with 2 strikes

Ahead in the count- get yours and get the head out! Even and behind in count- stay in the middle of the field. Two strikes - contact/compete

And that’s a good gist of his wisdom.
The Phillies’ official website has announced Charlie Manuel will host a hitting camp this coming winter with plenty of guest instructors. The camp will be held December 19-21 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Now a senior advisor to Phillies’ general manager Ruben Amaro, Manuel will be joined by recognizable names like Jim Thome, Tom Gordon and Pedro Feliz.
There is a possibility Manuel will continue to hold more hitting clinics beyond the initial one in December, which is great for a baseball junkie like “Chuck.”
