Since this week marked the five-year anniversary of the greatest moment in many Phillies fans’ lives, today’s links will all look back on that happy time.
Crossing Broad gets a bit teared up while watching some videos.
"I am a sobbing mess this morning watching this. No, really, I’m crying."
Is it better to be lucky rather than good?
"What really made the 2008 Phillies different from any of the other five teams that made the playoffs from 2007 to 2011 was one thing.Luck."
For many of us, five years ago was the first time we got to experience what victory felt like.
"The entire car was signing Queen’s “We Are the Champions” and you couldn’t find someone without a giant smile."
So many good memories from 2008
"From the Victorino grand slam off Sabathia to the Stairs moon shot off Broxton, some of the greatest sports moments in our town’s history were made that year."
A recap of every game from that amazing run.
"In baseball, weird things happen. Carlos Ruiz gets a walk-off infield single against a 5-man infield. Shane Victorino hits a grand slam against the best pitcher in baseball."
