The 2012 season didn’t exactly go as expected for the Philadelphia Phillies. The team struggled on the mound, at the plate, and had trouble remaining healthy all season. The team now heads into what should be a busy offseason as numerous questions need to be addressed as they reload and try to turn things around next season. That Ball’s Outta Here is focused on providing quality coverage on all things Phillies related – news, rumors, insight, and analysis – and our goal is to be part of your daily reading, but we need your help so we’re looking for a few qualified individuals to join the TBOH team.
Think you’ve got what it takes to help cover the Phillies?
Whether you’re a hardcore fan of the Phillies looking for a hobby or someone aspiring to establish a career in sports writing, That Ball’s Outta Here is willing to give you a chance. Prior writing/blogging experience isn’t necessarily required (though it doesn’t hurt), all we really ask is that you’re passionate and knowledgeable about the team. We’re searching for individuals comfortable meeting the following expectations:
> Commit to at least one column a week. More is always welcome.
> Help promote and grow the site by engaging our readers through social media (specifically Twitter and Facebook).
We try to cover all aspects of the organization, so there’s always room to bring someone aboard who’d prefer to cover certain aspects of the team – from the minor leagues to stadium promotions and everything in between. We can’t offer any monetary compensation for our Staff Writer position, but there are a number of other non-monetary benefits to joining the FanSided Network and the That Ball’s Outta Here team, including some great exposure for your writing and a growing collection of quality writers to work with.
If you are interested in applying or simply interested in learning more, head on over and complete our network’s application. Be sure to let us know what you feel you could bring to the table that would help grow That Ball’s Outta Here into one of the best and most complete Phillies sites available. One of our Editorial Directors will be in touch from there.
