Roy Halladay Pitches Phillies to Lone Win of Series

Lets take some time to review the scoring in this game.  Shane Victorino hit a lead off double followed by an RBI single from Placido Polanco.

That was it.  That was the only run scored in this baseball game.

Roy Halladay is the active leader in shut outs and the Astros are chock full of triple A players so the Astros not hitting makes some sense.  The Phillies on the other hand, were facing Bud Norris.  He is not a good pitcher.  In fact, the Phillies could not get anything going against, statistically speaking, the worst staff in baseball.  Luckily, the Phillies are coming home to Citizens Bank Park where Chase Utley is waiting for them.  After they scored four runs in three games, maybe a return to a place where there will be more than 10,000 fans will do them some good.

Roy Halladay is great.  First shut out of the year, seven strikeouts and the playoff clinching win for the second consecutive year.

Tomorrow the Phillies get to play two baseball games against the Florida Marlins.  First, Kyle Kendrick is shoved onto the mound in search of his eighth victory against Anibal Sanchez.  The second game features Cliff Lee and a guy making his first career start, Alex Sanabia.
