Halladay Has Arrived!

According to several sources, the Philadelphia Phillies have acquired former Cy Young winner Roy Halladay, and the trade will be announced within the next 24 hours!

This trade is huge, and was reported by Buster Olney, and the MLB Network.

The trade does involve top prospect Kyle Drabek, but hey, Halladay can immediately help us win now, and next season. There was no guarantee that Drabek would come in and help take some of the pressure off of Cole Hamels.

The rest of the details on who exactly was all involved in the trade will be announced ad more info gets out, but until then, this is all we got, but that is just fine with me!

With the addition of Halladay, the Phils rotation is now solid, and the front office’s attention will be put towards trying to get some help for the bullpen.

Halladay will help solidify a rotation that ranked last in ERA so far this season, and help take some of the load off of ace Cole Hamels.

The other bonus that Doc brings to the Phils is that he is 50-29 against the other AL East teams, which could be huge if the Phillies were to get back to the World Series this year, and face an AL East team.
