The poll asked fans to select the most important members of the Fightin’ Phils team that won the NL East for a 2nd straight year, and then went on a wild, wonderful ride through the postseason, ultimately resulting in the 2nd World Series title in franchise history.
Fans were given 11 players from which to choose, and 9 of those players would indeed receive support in the voting process. In the end, there were five clear front-runners, with a photo finish for the 4th spot.
Here are the results of the TBOH fan voting for the 2008 Phillies Four:
Rounding out the voting: shortstop Jimmy Rollins (21) just missed the top four, Shane Victorino (9), Pat Burrell (6), Jayson Werth (2), Jamie Moyer (2), Brett Myers (0), Carlos Ruiz (0).
