Clearwater Report Dates Announced

The Philadelphia Phillies have announced their reporting dates for Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida, with pitchers and catchers scheduled to report nearly a week before the full squad.
Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Bright House Field no later than Thursday, February 19th. The full squad is due to report no later than Tuesday, February 24th.
The likelihood is that a number of players, the bulk of the roster, will report earlier than these final dates. In fact, there are a few players who have already made their way to Florida, and more will trickle in as January progresses.

The actual Spring Training schedule gets underway with a game on Sunday, March 1st at 1:05pm at Bright House Field vs the University of Tampa. Two days later, on Tuesday, March 3rd, the New York Yankees will come in for the first game against MLB competition, and the following day the Phils travel to Tampa to again take on the Yanks at George Steinbrenner Field.
Spring Training down in Clearwater will continue this year into April, with the final game scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd vs the Tampa Bay Rays.
Phillies spring home at beautiful Bright House Field
Immediately following that game, the Phils come north for a pair of games at Citizens Bank Park vs the Pittsburgh Pirates on Good Friday, April 3rd at 7:05pm and the following afternoon of Saturday, April 4th at 1:05pm.
The club will open the season the following week, with Opening Day coming on Monday, April 6th in a 3:05pm start vs the Boston Red Sox. After a scheduled open date on Tuesday the 7th, the Phillies and Red Sox will meet for the first night game on Wednesday, April 8th.
