Game 2: Fedde vs Pivett

On Friday night, Fedde is set to face the Phillies again on fireworks night at Citizens Bank Park.

Erick Fedde: The Phillies are set to face the former Nationals top pitching prospect for the second time this month Friday night. The twenty-five-year-old is still searching for his elusive first win of the season through four starts.

Fedde faced the Phillies back on June 23, and it wasn’t exactly a good start. In that start, he pitched six innings and allowed and allowed three runs on eight hits.

Out of three starts this season, the June 23 start against the Phillies is the only start in which Fedde pitched more than five complete innings.

Nick Pivetta (PHI): The twenty-five year old Canadian is set to make his third start against Washington this season, and is searching for his first win against the Nationals this season. He’s also attempting to get his first win for the month of June in his final start this month.

Overall, Pivetta is 4-6 with a 4.06 ERA and 101 strikeouts.
