We need a Seranthony Dominguez fan club

One of the best storylines from this season so far has been the emergence of Seranthony Dominguez as an effective late-inning arm out of the bullpen. He has become Gabe Kapler’s go-to guy out of the bullpen with nine holds and three saves just over a month into his major-league career. He has given up just three runs despite coming into extremely high-leverage situations.

Dominguez made two appearances over the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday. However, it was not Dominguez, but a fan, who took center stage during his outing Saturday:

Yes, that is a Phillies fan wearing a top hat and monocle applauding Sir-anthony Dominguez. We actually know who this fan is (online, anyway). This is Reddit user zerovanillacodered, who made it onto MLB Cut4 and Sportscenter.

A Dominguez-inspired fan club is exactly what we need. This team is significantly better than it has been in years and we can actually have fun watching them again. Having something like Doc’s Patients or the Wolf’s Den at Citizens Bank Park would certainly add to the fan experience.

The Monocle Man, as he has been dubbed, may have inspired the next Phillies fan section. –
