KEYS TO VICTORY OVER THE GIANTS

ACING TEST VS ACES – the Giants will be throwing one of the best lefties in the game today (Bumgarner) in the opener, and one of the game’s best righties (Cueto) on Wednesday, and follow that up with their new acquisition, the hot lefty Moore, on Thursday. The Phils actually fared pretty well against the two aces when the two club’s met in San Francisco.

DEADLINE AFTERMATH – the first shoe dropped today when the Phillies released righty reliever Andrew Bailey, recalling righty reliever Luis Garcia. There have to be discussions going on behind closed doors about 1st baseman Ryan Howard. Look for the Phils to begin the process of slipping players through waivers soon. The next time that the team is at home, two weekends from now, the roster could look very different. For now, the players here need to put the uncertainty out of mind and play for their futures.
