It’s not that there aren’t reasons to hate our city.  Bed bugs.  Crime.  Public pool openings.  The place is a breeding ground for criminal bed bugs committing crimes all morning, then revitalizing with a midday dip to come back out and doing more crime in the afternoon.

But Giambi has spotlit an even more notoriously despised facet of the city:  the sports fans.

Kyle Kendrick + Danys Baez + Michael Martinez batting second = Jason Giambi hits three home runs and collects seven RBI/Jhoulys Chacin shuts down the Phil’s offense  in the Rockies 7-1 win.  So in summation, an old relic from baseball’s steroid era carries the Rockies past the Phillies ineffective offense.  Let’s just move on.

Luckily, the Phillies have Roy Halladay strutting to the mound today.  Unluckily, it is impossible to win a game 0-0.  The Phillies test this theory against C.J. Wilson and the Texas Rangers this evening.
