Everybody remembers how Joe Blanton pitched a few times, made everybody cringe, then went away for a little while, and then came back and wasn’t great, again.  It’s called The Joe Blanton Story and we’re having a hard time selling the treatment to Hollywood because it is a story with no point. The Phillies will send him off to Instructional League, which, and I’m going by the word “instruction” in the name, is kind of a rebooting of a person, without the coma.  Dom will pack his bags and be carried off to some mystical place where players learn how to be players without disappointing anyone ever again.
