So why were John Buck and Logan Morrison wandering around a Patriot missile silo again?

You’d think, now that we’re playing teams for the second time, that we’d be out of questions for the Marlins. Well that’s where you’re wrong, asshole. When it comes to the Marlins, I’ve got nothing but questions. Because I don’t pay attention to anything, ever.

Michael Jong from Marlin Maniac took some time from his day to roll his eyes at each one of my questions and cliche jokes.

1. If the Marlins are so good, why don’t they just hit five home runs in every game?

Because Hanley Ramirez doesn’t try hard enough to do that. (more…)

We're throwing a party here at TBOH, and everyone's invited. Unfortunately, this is a Brewers bloggers-only party.

We’re throwing a party here at TBOH, and everyone’s invited. Unfortunately, this is a Brewers bloggers-only party. We’ve got Lou Olsen from Reviewing the Brew and Jaymes Langrehr of The Brewers Bar here to try and tell me why the Brewers will win this three-game set with the Phillies.

I, however, remain unconvinced, because the Phillies won today, and therefore should win every game in the near future. Its a flawed mentality, sure, but its worked thus far. Besides, when I’m wrong I just black out for days at a time and wake up tasting blood anyway, so let’s hear them out.

1. In response to Zack Greinke’s cracked rib, how close are the Brewers to banning “pick-up basketball” as a concept for anyone involved in their organization?

Lou: I think banning is a strong word. Probably more like a mandatory option to not play pick-up basketball. The team will probably be more flexible with people who are not Greinke. Larry Bird, he is not.

Jaymes: It’s just a weird injury all around. I’ve never known anyone to actually break a rib playing basketball…you have to be pretty damn unlucky for it to happen. The way the Brewers made it sound, Greinke’s contract didn’t prevent him from playing pickup basketball, but does prevent him from playing in things like organized rec leagues. I’m going to guess that’ll change. The scarier thing to me was that Rickie Weeks — he of the long list of injuries — came out after the Greinke news broke and said he plays basketball all the time in the spring. Now that’s a guy I don’t want playing basketball anymore. (more…)

Citizens Bank is more than just a bank. It’s a blog, where you can go to have opinions, advice, and analysis chucked into your gut like a bag full of coins. Coins, as we all know, are the “blunt instruments” of currency, and nobody wields them more accurately than The Citizens Bankers. Jon makes up one half of the team over there; feel free to check him out or his cohort Pat on their site or via Twitter (@JNes12). They pretty much define the term “righteous dudes.” Today, Jon takes a look at something we fail to oblige quite often on TBOH: the truth.

Where Do The Phillies Really Rank?

by Jon of The Citizens Bankers

What’s up, this is Jon from The Citizens Bankers. There are a few storylines in Spring Training this year. We have Chase Utley’s knee (Panic time), Domonic Brown’s magical fractured hand, and the emergence of Ben Francisco and John Mayberry Jr.

Oh yeah, and this. Cliff Lee could literally have my future children. But that is another story. (more…)
