We all know the “facts.”

  • “HE JUST TOOK THE MONEY BLAH BLAH BLAH.”
  • “OMFG HE SAID HE HATES THE PHILLIES WTF.”
  • “HEY HE SAID THE PHILLIES COULD HAVE KEPT HIM AND IS JEALOUS LET’S FREAK OUT.”

With the free agent market laying before him, and several mediocre teams on th phone, Chad is discovering one haunting aspect of his time with the WFC:  The Phillies are a gateway team. (more…)

“Hey there,” said the Phillies, saddling up to the bar stool next to George Sherrill and Hideki Okajima.  The two lefties had just gone out for a quiet drink without the desire to be poked, prodded, and eye-fucked by organizations starved for a southpaw, but here they were.

“I heard you’re recently available,” the Phils continued, pure sleaze dripping off their every word.  “And it just so happens we’ve got a spot to fill.”
