Now sure, we all had a grand time watching the Braves sad trombone themselves out of the playoffs this year. But the enjoyment came from analysts at the beginning of the year claiming that not only would they give us a struggle for the division flag, but their rotation was comparable with ours! Ha!

Obviously the only thing comparable to the Phillies starting rotation is a pack of unstoppable meteors hurdling violently toward the earth’s major cities. (more…)

I wouldn’t want to talk to me about the Braves, but Bob Horton seemed more than willing. Apparently he talks about them all the time. On another website called Tomahawk Take, where the Braves are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. Not here though.

1. Will Dan Uggla’s focus be elsewhere, now that he’s being sued for millions of dollars?

Nah, he’s got lots of insurance. But if you find out what carrier wrote the policy, you might want to think about dumping your stock! (more…)

Chipper Jones Clearly Terrified of Facing Phillies Now; in Playoffs

Having been in second place for the majority of the season, 7.5 games back, and losing two of their starting pitchers, Chipper Jones felt it was an appropriate time for an announcement of his confidence.

“The only team that can really put any pressure on (the Phillies) and beat them…is us. The only team that can really put any pressure on (the Phillies) and beat them…is us. They’re a great ballclub, don’t get me wrong. But we’re not scared of them.”
