When Raul walks into a room, I imagine he’s greeted by the same Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul chants that he gets when he walks up to the plate. Therefore, a trip with a bunch of kids is probably one of the most grating experiences he can have. (more…)

So not “Steve Carlton” Hall of Fame. ”Eric Bruntlett’s jersey from the unassisted triple play” Hall of Fame. They could have also asked Jeff Francoeur for his helmet from that afternoon, which he slammed to the ground in frustration, as one of the best examples of “pure disgust” ever embodied on a baseball diamond.

You Should Care that Gene Dziadura is Dead

Gene Dziadura is dead.

“I don’t know who that is!” yells you, turning grumpily back to your giant Sunday edition comics page. “I have more important things to do than sit here and listen to your extended diatribe! And this particular ‘Ziggy’ looks massively disturbing, so leave me alone!”

Well, before I list you all the reasons why Gene being dead is a big deal, let me shine some light on why it was so great that Ferguson Jenkins was alive.
