Phillies First Overall Pick Moniak Reaches out to 76ers First Overall Pick Ben Simmons

The future is bright in the city of Philadelphia.

On Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers selected LSU’s Ben Simmons with the first overall pick, less than two weeks after the Philadelphia Phillies selected Mickey Moniak with the first overall pick in the MLB Draft.

Phillies first overall pick Mickey Moniak offered congratulations to Ben Simmons and welcomed him to the City of Brotherly Love Thursday night following the 76ers officially submitting their pick.

The city now has two first overall picks in Moniak and Simmons, the second overall pick Carson Wentz, and a plethora of prospects in the Flyers system.

Several other Philadelphia athletes offered their congratulations to the 76ers and Ben Simmons as the future of sports in the city of Philadelphia appears to be heading in the right direction.

That is a lot of young talent looking to make an impact in Philadelphia. It will just be a matter of time until all four teams are vying for championships every season.
