Philadelphia Phillies place Domonic Brown on the bench again

The Philadelphia Phillies begin a four-game series tonight vs the Atlanta Braves, and Domonic Brown has been benched for the second straight night. John Mayberry Jr. will be taking Brown’s place in left field and will hit seventh in the lineup.

Ryne Sandberg said:

“I had a good conversation with him about making adjustments and then applying them.”

Brown is batting just .218 this season with  5 home runs and 38 RBIs. The 26-year old has an OBP of just .270 which is one of the worst figures in baseball.

Brown’s defense has been even more horrendous, and his misplays on balls are costing the Phillies games.
