According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly, Philadelphia Phillies ace Cliff Lee underwent a MRI on his left elbow.

Lee currently has a 4-4 record, along with a 3.18 ERA. Although it isn’t certain how much – if any – time he’ll have to miss, it is certain that the Phillies will suffer if he out for an extended period of time.

The team doesn’t have much depth in the starting rotation, especially with Jonathan Pettibone suffering from an injury of his own. And with very few off days in the coming weeks, the team would likely have to rely on someone like David Buchanan to fill Lee’s pot.

More details will be provided as they come.
