Emotional reaction immediately after the game

They scored runs again!!!

Less emotional reaction after thinking about it a bit

I was worried that Saturday’s offensive outburst was a fluke, but maybe it was a genuine awakening. Let’s see if they can continue the hot hitting.

Heroes

Jimmy Rollins started things off right with a leadoff homer. Cody Asche busted things open with a three-run shot in the 7th.

Goat

Tony Cingrani was the second straight Reds starter to get knocked around by the Phillies’ lineup.

Today’s Game

The Phillies have yet another off-day. This will be their third in the past week.

Cole Hamels‘ 100 career victories prove that he’s a good pitcher and was a wise draft choice by the Phillies. But the fact that he mixes in some clunker starts may show that he still needs to do some work if he wants to be considered one of the team’s all-time greats.
