According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies have interviewed Rafael Chaves for the Phillies open pitching coach position.

Chaves played in the minors for 11 years, served as the Seattle Mariners pitching coach in 2006 and 2007, and most recently he has been the minor league pitching coordinator for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Perhaps this is a sign that the Phillies’ long hunt for a new pitching coach is almost over.  The position has been vacant since they fired Rich Dubee in September.
