Dom Brown Not in Lineup for Worst Possible Reason

Dom Brown doesn’t make a lot of diving catches.

He didn’t make another one last night – he got close, it was in and out of his glove – and the game continued, albeit with a slightly denser fog of frustration in the air.

And then, we pretty much forgot that it happened because that’s what you do when you’re trying to suppress something.  But today, as the lineup was revealed to have Delmon Young in the clean up spot and Dom Brown nowhere to be found, eyebrows were raised.

Then the eyebrows arched back down in anger.

And now Dom Brown has a concussion.

“No he doesn’t he has concussion symptoms that’s not the same thing as

Oh, shut the hell up.  You know damn well he’s concussed.  This is probably the final phase of the 2013 Phillies – the first part being Revere’s injury.  Whatever cluster eff of horrors awaits us around the next corner is something only the strong willed will survive. So we’ll all die.

Dom won’t play again until Friday at least – he’s got the dizzies and such, and will be tested for a concussion.  If he is out of it, he’ll hit the seven-day DL.

In the mean time, everybody make sure Dom doesn’t fall asleep, for the love of god.
