Shockingly, Lenny Dykstra Blames Substance Abuse for His Problems

It seems that Lenny Dykstra had a little help with all those reprehensible decisions that he made over the last few years.  Apparently abusing drugs and alcohol in concert with being a complete asshole is a pretty good way to end up on the wrong side of the law.

I’m not a criminal.  There will be a good ending.

A good ending?  It is pretty much assured that the former baseball star will end up in federal prison.  Unless ending up in the obituary is considered a good ending, I am pretty sure Lenny is wrong about this one.

I have decided that I will no longer be referring to Lenny as “former Phillie” Lenny Dykstra.  From this point forward he will now exclusively be referred to as “former Met” Lenny Dykstra.  See.  I already feel better.

p.s. This is the last thing I will write about Lenny Dykstra….no one really cares what happens to former Mets.
