The entire steroid era is sickening to me as I have mentioned in my many posts on Mark McGwire since his pathetic excuse for an apology. I never thought the Phillies would stoop to take a steroid cheat with how well they've been run recently, but who knows? No matter how bad their bullpen struggled in 2009, this guy has no place there or anywhere for that matter. Last we saw him he was getting hammered as the Brewers closer, with well over a 5.00 ERA. That's awful, he flamed out when the juice was gone and he couldn't get a refill. Then again, why wouldn't you take a flyer on a guy who had a 4.65 ERA for the Quebec Capitales. I mean the Canadian pro leagues are tough, the Capitales are quite a baseball institution. What is going on? I agree 100%.
